As some of you might recall, I live in a very 'boy' orientated house.
I do try to add a few feminine touches with the odd bunch of flowers and many, many candles to soften our home. But truth be told, I love strong lines and deep colours and quite like the masculine look.
I have found some more fabulous images that follow this theme......

Hi Liz, thanks for sharing these wonderful pictures!
ReplyDeleteYou asked me which camera I use. I use a Canon 60D, a camera with many features. After making my pictures I also use a photo editing program.
Big hugs, Ingrid
Hi Liz, I too prefer a more masculine style in my home...and sometimes in the way I dress. I have been wearing ties since the 7th grade which my husband thinks is hilarious. Have a great dayxob
ReplyDeleteHi Liz,
ReplyDeleteAlthough my own personal style with fashion/interiors is more towards the pale, fresh and feminine - I love these pictures!
Love the black corner house - so striking.....
Have a lovely week,

Hi, Liz, I hope you have a great week too ! I like that first picture and I have lots of striped shirts, I just love them. I also have a confession to make : I "finish off" all my ex-hubby's (and nevertheless very good friend)shirts ; so easy to wear ...xoxo
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm the only female in my home too! I don't have many frou frou touches in my home either. I love these images and so my style too! Happy Wednesday! Xx
ReplyDeleteGreat images here, Liz...I LOVE the hats...thanks for popping by today; lovely to hear from you.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day.

Great pictures, love the industrial touch in some of them. Have a great day. Caroline x
ReplyDeleteThe dark grey corner house is so striking. It's a change to see images with a more masculine touch. I too have candles everywhere - makes such a difference.

The image of the trestle table in front of the window looking out onto the garden reminds me of my very first studio. Love the wide floorboards.

What wonderful images!
ReplyDeleteI'd love that trestle table for my desk....although I'd never leave that spot all day long! And the house on the corner looks so stylish, I'd love to see what kind of space that front door leads in to, it looks like a very smart London street for sure.
Great post :)
I hope you're having a wonderful weekend Liz! Xx
ReplyDeleteFor me nothing says "there's a boy in this house" as a great, comfy leather chair, as the one shown in one of the pics you posted. I love that look. Great images!
ReplyDeleteHi lovely Liz,
ReplyDeleteI am right with you. I love this look too....I can always add flowers and lipsticks myself!!

Liz, I love this look. If I had to pick one masculine statement for my home it would be steel frame windows. I absolutely love their streamlined profile and the way the don't intrude on the beautiful sunlight. If I could choose a second, it would be a deeply tufted leather chair, just like the one in your photo.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Keri
Gorgeous images Liz ..... I love the industrial look and masculine greys. As our children have left home now, our house seems to have a few feminine touches although not frilly or frou-frou !!!! Just little touches of Victorian lace but mostly shabby !! We have the old leather sofa , Victorian fireplaces and hues of grey so, a bit of a mixture in our house.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your lovely comment .... have a lovely weekend. XXXX
Hi Liz!
ReplyDeleteAll of this snow seems like a cruel April Fools joke, doesn't it? ::sigh:: Thanks for your visit. I always enjoy reading your comments. I'm crossing my fingers for the snow to be gone and warmth and sunshine to reign in both of our parts of the world!
Cheers,
Keri

It's all beautiful. We moved into a "new to us" house 2 years ago and we vowed that after the deep chocolates and rich saturated colors of our old house, we are going to keep it neutral. The walls the furniture light and airy and so on. I love all the new things you added to the space. I would even love to have the old furniture and light fixtures to lighten up my house. They didn't work for your client but they would work great for me!
