As some of you might recall, I live in a very 'boy' orientated house.

I do try to add a few feminine touches with the odd bunch of flowers and many,many candles to soften our home.  But truth be told, I love strong lines and deep colours and quite like the masculine look.

I can hardly believe it's Friday already. the week disappears so quickly.

The weather has turned cold again and I've heard a whisper that we may get some snow.

I have a few things planned for this weekend, but all I really want to do is hunker down at home and get comfy......

Memories......

Can you imagine leaving your home after 43 years?

This week we went to a fare-well party for some friends in our village who are moving after 43 happy years.  In this case a beautiful manor house dating back to the 1500's.

I wonder what you would miss about your home if you had to move......

I'm just late in writing a New Year's blog!

So that's one of my resolutions broken already - Never mind- life goes on!!

I like this time of the year. Whether or not you make resolutions, I love the optimism of a brand new year full of good intentions and aspirations.
