So pretty. Thank you...I needed the lift.
ReplyDeleteYou make winter look very enticing but I'm glad to be heading into summer! x
ReplyDeleteYou know, theres nothing that says you have to say goodbye to the ice cream! It will be perfect next to the warm fire! Have a great day! Tonya
ReplyDeleteI will miss eating al fresco the most :) And, Liz, you forgot vine ripened tomatoes from the garden. Nothing like fresh tomatoes with basil and mozzarella cheese! But, yes, lots to look forward to!! :)

Ha! I think that the chocolate cake pretty much sums it up! Although, presently I am just tasting notes of chocolate in my lovely red wine...by the fire:)
ReplyDeleteOooh, that's got me totally in the mood for autumn! Glad to have discovered your blog!Bx
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful yet melancholy thing the arrival of fall is....it always stirs up conflicting emotions in me, the smells sights and sounds (leaves crunching, campfires, pumpkin scented candles, lol)bring out my "poetic" side.....it is always a bittersweet arrival; as lovely and cozy as it is, there is something about it that makes one....shall I say, long for the carefree days of their youth?
ReplyDeleteLove your post!

On a day like this - scarves and boots - actually very tempting when you have cold feet... maybe it's really time! Hope you had a good weekend. Caroline x

Love your upbeat post, as I am one who holds on to summer with her fingernails. The boots, scarf, and fire are so English, and I LoVE that!
ReplyDeleteOk, ok you've convinced me...perhaps Autumn won't be so bad!! Looking forward to meeting you next week Liz...can't wait...should be lots of fun. Robx
ReplyDeleteI forgot how much I love those little joys of autumn, so thanks for the reminder! Looking forward to meeting you on Tuesday at the blogger's tea!
