The White Company General Store......

I'm a huge fan of The White Company.  Their crisp white bed linen, fluffy towels and home accessories have long been staples in Snowdrop Towers.
So I looked forward this week to the launch of The White Company's General Store. 

A collection of classics have been taken from the company's 20 year heritage - The White Company's General Store - show cases the best of simple, essential (and some not so essential) must- have items for your home. 

Of course I wanted everything.

I have my eye on a couple of these vases......

And this burr wood board......

And Mr S. is very excited about this sheepskin throw!......

You can imagine I really needed another white shirt......

And just one more scented candle......

(White Geranium - my new favourite)

There is so much to choose from.

I discovered The General Store collection at The White Company flag ship in Symons Street, London - and it looks even better in real life.

I believe The White Company is now available in the US too.

Porgy and Bess......

We went to see the wonderful 'Porgy and Bess' at the open air theatre in Regents Park in London.

An early supper al fresco and the anticipation of one of the Gershwins' finest shows.

All went well until the first number, 'Summertime', when the heavens opened and the stage manager announced that the performance would have to be suspended until the rain passed. Oh the irony!

Regents Park Open Air Theatre details...here

Rainy days and Sundays......

......to completely mis-quote The Carpenters circa 1971.

I very rarely write and publish my posts on the same day - for one thing it takes me ages to get my act together.  Not because I'm perfecting my art, but because I'm just very slow! 

But this was the sky that we woke to this morning followed by torrential rain and winds - meaning that we had a different day to the one we had planned. So I thought I'd get down in pictures how our day panned out......

We didn't go for the run that usually starts our Sunday......
