Jet lag, what jet lag?......

Boston...... Fab,

No.1Snowdrop...... Happy and healthy,

Beacon Hill...... Cool,

Clam chowder...... Yummy,

Hurricane Sandy......  Interesting,

U.S Election TV coverage...... Bonkers!!

We had a lovely time, and it was great to see our son in his new College home.  Thank you for all of your good wishes.

As I get older, overnight transatlantic flights get harder and harder.

But I'm learning that for me I have to go straight to bed, even if its just for a few hours.

There's nothing like your own bed, but here are a few others I wouldn't mind climbing in to!

  1. Glad you had a great trip and all is well! I thought of you a few times over the week...storm and election coverage. I know what you mean about jet lag. For some reason I feel it more when I travel east (over the pond to you) rather than when I come home. Just glad to be able to do it though:)

  2. I really like that room with the single beds, needing inspiration for our spare room...this could work!
    Have a great week.

  6. Sounds like a great trip. I always go to bed after transatlantic flights. Can't beat your own bed - one of the joys of coming home!

It's been very disconcerting seeing the devastation that Hurricane Sandy has wrecked on all the places I visited in September.

  7. How exciting that you were able to see your son and quite a bit of adventure too I bet. Yes, you're right about some beds being worthy and the ones you posted are divine. Glad you're back home safely in your own though:-). XX

  9. So happy to see that you are safely back home ; what a lot happened while you were in the U.S. ! That last bed looks wonderful but if I ever got married again, it would have to be twins for me. As I get older, comfort is becoming paramount. Maybe twin king-size ? ... !xx

  10. Glad to hear you're home and safe Liz...and yes there's nothing like your own bed after a long haul flight. We're heading home for a visit in early Feb and I'm finding myself already dreading the 23 hours...stiff legs..sore neck and a very numb bum! Robx

  13. I'm glad your vacation went well! I'll have to agree with you on the US election coverage. Bonkers: no better word or it.

When I flew from NY to London a few years ago, I remember the jet lag making me feel like I was going to go crazy. I couldn't sleep in the middle of the night, and when I did go to sleep I'd wake up in the middle of the afternoon. One of these beds would've cured it all though, I'm quite sure. ;)
