Whilst I am so excited and unbelievably proud of him, a little bit of me is feeling just a little bit teary.

And with Number 2 Snowdrop in Italy, I'm Home Alone!!

What's a girl to do?......

Well, I've filled the house with beautiful white flowers......

I have scheduled lots of yoga......

There are cupboards to organise......

I'm going to be soooo busy!

I'll keep you posted......

Have a lovely day,

  1. Wow! I am feeling a little like you, but it's because we will be taking our daughter back to school next week for her final year! How did 4 years go so quickly?! I feel both proud and emotional during these big steps. You are so smart to ground yourself in your home and activities...enjoy the quiet! xob

  2. Sounds like you have the perfect plans to fill the days ahead! All best, Phyllis

  3. ...I've found a new garden centre Liz!... with cafe ...can meet any day:-) lots of love and thinking of you xxx name a day and I'll be there! x

  4. It's amazing how quickly they grow up! My eldest is starting his senior school next week, and I can hardly believe that he's out of nappies! Good to have a list of diversionary projects to ensure that life stays busy - one can NEVER have too many magazines - OR cake!
    Paula xx

  5. You're my kind of girl with cake involved! I know your son's new adventure is emotional for of luck to him as well. I hope you have a wonderful time with your house to yourself!
    xo Nancy

  6. Must be such a hard transition but at least you'll have some quality me time :) xoxo

  7. Thank-you for your kind comment. I have one down and the other son to go off to University as a sophomore in a week. I am looking forward to getting things done here too....and making some time for me.
    pretty images.
    enjoy the cake.

  8. Must be a time of mixed emotions! Those lovely flowers will definitely bring some cheer :)

  9. The cake will help and the flowers are a salve that I love to use myself.

  10. Oh, sounds like my kind of day- especially the cake part! Hope you're able to enjoy your empty nest and don't feel blue, it will take a little getting used to.

  11. Oh that carrot cake is making me so hungry ! Find one like that and I'll come and keep you company !xx

  12. That cake looks yummy! And your day sounds great! Christa

  13. Hey Liz, oh no wonder you're feeling teary with your snowdrops away - bittersweet - we do our best to turn them in to adults and then it's hard to let them go!! Your plan for distraction is a good one- magazines and cake are always a good idea!

  14. all wonderful distractions, the flowers are beautiful.
    Enjoy your 'me time'!

  15. I know exactly how you're feeling- and mine only goes to uni in Bath. You are doing all the right things to keep your days fun and busy, and if there's a lull in your 'me time', just add more cake. I always find that works a treat!
Thanks so much for your lovely message.
    Hugs, B x

  16. It's definitely a bittersweet time, but we wouldn't have it any other way - you'll be so busy before long, that you'll wonder how you ever fit it all in...happy weekend!
